Executive Summary:

This case study explores the development of an automated process for our client, a company that designs and manufactures sensors for professional and industrial use. The client required a more efficient way to access and operate within their SAP Business One Client (64-bit) system. The solution streamlined access, reduced manual intervention, and created a more reliable operational workflow.

Client/Organisation Overview:

Our client, a privately held organisation based in Europe, established in the early 90s, specialising in the design and manufacture of sensors for professional applications.

The Challenge:

Our client needed an automated solution to support their SAP-based processes. The lack of a functioning automated process meant continued reliance on manual actions, which can lead to inefficiencies, increased workload, and potential errors. A new approach was required to ensure consistent system access and process execution.

The Solution:

The Cevitr team developed a process designed to securely log into our clients' SAP system and initiate the required workflows. This was done through our client's virtual machine with SAP installed, enabling a controlled and stable environment for the automation.

Implementation:

The Cevitr team evaluated the initial SAP Business One Client (64-bit) environment and identified technical constraints. We decided to transition the automation to our client’s virtual machine hosting the SAP system. We developed custom code to automate the login process and support subsequent tasks. This was then tested, and we confirmed successful system access and functionality before deployment.

Results:

Jo runs this process now for our client, spending 10-15 minutes per invoice collating all the necessary information, which is a fraction of the time this previously took. Upto 25 invoices are processed each week.

Conclusion:

This case study exemplifies how Jo can provide a reliable method for accessing and operating within an SAP system. This project demonstrates how Jo can help a business run efficiently, providing a scalable solution that can support our clients' long-term operational success.
