To address this, an automated solution was developed using a structured Excel template and a custom process to convert timesheet data into a format compatible with Sage 50. This enabled bulk uploads instead of manual entry.

As a result, processing time was reduced from approximately one full day to just 20–30 minutes. The solution also improved data visibility and reporting capabilities, allowing the client to analyse employee hours and performance better. While still in the adoption phase, the system is already delivering significant efficiency gains.

This organisation is a large construction group operating across multiple business units. The organisation employs a large workforce working across different pay structures, i.e. monthly salaried staff, weekly PAYE employees, and CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) contractors.
